An individual needs to know specifically what binds him back and forth between two ends of a rope.

Man though is a social animal, but he often forgets if he is ever needed to socialize with whom he is doing so at a certain moment. I mean to mean ‘unnecessary crap socializing’, which I often find as nothing but a mere form of buttering and oiling. And at the long run, when the crap fails to butter and oil other craps, they thik they have failed miserably. Why not? You really have failed.

It’s quite funny that am writing this post. I didn’t intend to, frankly speaking. But, even if I don’t,you know people needs something to kill their valuable times before exams, always.

Oh! Forgot to tell our college fest is coming. Work is on in full rhthym. I have been made the chief convenor-cum-editor of our college magazine. Tough work to accomplish, but I know I will love to do so. Atleast better than the people who read others’ blogs occasionally and leave crappy comments. Hell with them!

And one more notice: I have stopped taking too many comments for my posts here. So, guys, do me a favour by not leaving one until and unless you believe what you are leaving is of real quality.

A JLT(Just Like that) post..

with one comment

Bob(Xeren): Can you keep a secret? I’m trying to organize a prison break. We have to first get out of this bar, then the hotel, then the city, and then the country. Are you in or you out?Charlotte(Acita): I’m in.

So, they say you NEED to blog regularly if you want to be famous(I read it a fake-famous) among your so-called peers group and girls(well,of course) and juniors.  I don’t believe in these bullshits(that is how I like to ‘define’ these stuffs), and more than that,  I despise these people. Anyways, am back in the circuit, well, till now I believe so, err, I guess so. Let’s see for how many days this stint can be re-continued.

Good points in the mean time:

  1. Organised  first ever #siliguritweetup. [Am too lazy to give links on the same. Oh wait, this can serve the purpose well]
  2. Attended the ‘Windows 7 Launch Party’ here in Siliguri organised by Microsoft MVP Mr. Sumanta Sengupta. The best part being that me and @aritrasen(who was there with me) both, along with the others, got free Windows 7 Enterprise Edition DVDs. [In this case also, am too lazy to link to the Flickr pics]
  3. Am supposedly going to be the Cultural Convenor of my college’s annual fest SITEX’10. That makes me super busy the next 2-3 months.
  4. I have taken over a very good ( yet tough) project in hand on Robotics( in which I am nearly IGNORANT), and I need to present it with my team mates in such short a time that our supposed mentor teacher got shcoked at our determination, well, nearly.
  5. I have joined my CAT preparatory classes. And already have started doing presentations, case studies etc. They claim these are going to make me a better and industry-ready person soon. Hope it does!
  6. My friends have started loving me in a new way,  in a way of using my connections and presence of mind(do I REALLY have these stuffs?)
  7. And I have got a few good friends in my life. Will not name them here. But am sure they will realise it’s them when they read this post.
  8. Ah! And am loving being busy with my book review schedules. And yeah, I must say the publishers are really doing a very good job by keeping their words.
  9. And, to conclude, I must say, am really loving blogging after so so many days. Hats off Blog-God!

Review- ‘Lonestar Secrets’ by Colleen Coble

leave a comment »

_225_350_Book.82.cover
Whenever I sit to write another book-review,inevitably I need to strain my brain hard enough to get to remember the niceties of the paperbacks I was lucky(or often unlucky enough) to go through! But this time,I did make it a point to get it done very soon,if not sooner. And so,here I am.

Unlike the previous hard bound I got from the same publishers, frankly speaking this paperback really did not live upto the expectations the first novel mustered upon me by its quality. But everything can’t and should not be always compared with other equals, and this one has got its own positives, maybe some of which the previous one lacked in some aspects. So,over and all,you don’t loose.

‘Lonestar Secrets’ speaks about the rather coming-back-to-life life of a girl(or rather a woman) who has seen life from different perspectives,be it the jeery low or be it the glorious top by virtue of her own dignified approach to life, she has gone through all of it.And in that way she is lucky enough to differentiate between right and wrong, black and white, and love and hate.Love gave her the jeer of her life, love forced her to loose all trust on ‘trustworthiness’,love forced her down the dungeon of darkness and lifenessness. And that too with none there by her side, her parents being dead on way to their journey of ‘quick-bucks’.Shannon Astor, the protagonist then survived with her own implications of life, pulled herself throughout high school, and after that joined her very close-to-heart vet discipline, for which she can even give up life’s niceties. And this determination with whoch she took up her life of betterment shoved her way up to more brightnesses. In themeanwhile some dramatisms took palce in her life regarding her falling for a shiny-buckled-heartless-cowboy,carrying his twin child, and then a hospital fiasco during her labor which turned out to be a life-changer for her to betterment. And this is the point from where she started to see the light of life, maybe the twin children were god-send to her in that way.And more drama follows, her making up to her babychild-switching,her meeting her childhood crush whom she got forced to marry by circumstances, and then for the rest of the drama was rather in her own side. She won in every aspects of life. She own every hearts and every trusts.Which in turn brings up the woman in her ina big way.

Author Colleen Coble has got in her sleeves two more before this one in this series, including ‘Lonestar Sanctuary’ but maybe this is one of her best works, and who can say we are going to get better of her very soon,if not sooner!

Obama wins Nobel!..Or is it Osama??

with 5 comments

Now,the first time I heard Barack Obama has been announced to be the winner of this year’s(2009) Nobel Peace Prize,I thought it maybe another prank someone is playing in Twitter to get rid of his/her boreness. But when then I checked this site for the announcements (check out: http://nobelprize.org/nobelfoundation/press/2009/announcements_09.html) I got shocked, literally.

My only reaction was: WHY? and HOW COME? or WHAT ‘THE HELL’ DID HE DO?
What the hell did he really do to get a seat by someone like Mother Teresa and many others as well.

I won’t say more.My fellow Tweeps gave some awesome reactions to this CRAPPY news.I will rather let you go through them.

@viveksingh–> Obama winnin d Nobel Prize is lik Rani winnin Oscars 4 her role in Dil Bole Haddippa…

@zoooni–> how about lalit modi being awarded the nobel peace prize or better still mayawati !!!

@chiefsanjay I heard even Michelle said “WTF” #Noble Peace Prize

@zoooni:NASA plans a violent blast on d moon while d president of US is awarded 4 Nobel peace prize

@kirtitandel @zoooni Rajnikant gets Nobel prize in Physics 4defying all laws of physics (& common sense) in his acrobatics(#mumbaimirror)

@zoooni: President Obama wins Nobel peace prize n has he completed atleast a year in office .. or was it a spellin mistake OSAMA was it?

@jenlar: President Obama may do great things one day but as of now he has done NOTHING. Nobel Prize, you are a JOKE now.

@ellerich17: Barack Obama wins Noble Peace Prize. Award is now a joke & relegated to tabloid trash status.

@shunn:Um, let’s a wait a few years & see if Obama deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. May I have a Nobel for my intention to cure cancer, pls?

@BillKempin: President Barack Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize. That’s a pretty fair accomplishment for a Nazi.

RT @MitchBenn: It’s official: George Bush was such an asshole you can win the Nobel Peace Prize just by not being him.

@staceyrightnow: The pressure on President Obama’s speechwriters is just so intense. I would totally cave. Nobel Peace Prize would wreck my peace.

@Mahmoudmyman: Anyone who says I didn’t deserve Nobel Peace Prize over Obama should be prepared to back that up while Iran’s missiles furiously rain down.

The last guy is from Iran. And the pain and hatred in his words are really what set me down to write this post.Don’t know if the world will remain the same from tomorrow.’coz you know why, that man(read Obama) will now be doing anything(literally) over the third world nations in the name of his ‘Nobel Peace Prize’ drive.Anything!

And there our tears come down hard. And once again another Iran or another Iraq or Palestine is going to happen, well, anyday!

Review- Face of Betrayal by Lis Wiehl and April Henry

leave a comment »

_200_350_Book.51.cover“Face of Betrayal” is just another story but excelled in the way it has been told. It’s a story of how a senate page turned out dead after returning to home during vacations in between her internship. This murder mystery finally got taken upon by the Triple-Threat(as they ‘loved’ to call themselves)-a reporter,a FBI special agent, and a federal prosecutor, and being more mystified by the character of a running Senator who supposedly was having a relationship with the victim.

As the three women try their best to find out both an alive Katie and the possible abductor, their own inner lives got turbulent in their own ways, and they yet manage to balance both quite well. They all are in the pursuit to find out their individual ‘face of betrayal’.

“Face Of Betrayal” is a book with magic recipe of success.A suspense thriller as well as the neat focus on the inner turbulency of the protagonists defintitely makes it worth a read.To such extent it will touch you that you will make it a point to wait eagerly for the next turn the story takes in Lis Weihl’s next release.

FaceYourManga-Your virtual alter-ego!

leave a comment »

Days are gone people would have simply liked to upload their own pictures in the ‘avatar’ of websites during registering,or get compelled to use the retarded artificial avatars pre-loaded there. With the advent of ‘FaceYourManga’ things work in different ways. This website gives you the power to make up your own avatars and even edit on pre-loaded ones,in case you don’t like it(which is the genereal case).

A weird take!

with one comment

Weird things do happen. All the time.Like a consequence.Like some weird consequences.I some what feel overwhelmed whenever I get the chance to help the people all around me in their times of distresses.Don’t know why I feel so,I feel kinda strengthened,I feel kinda interested, kinda into the very stuffs.Maybe my long-drawn failed interest and love to become a doc rekindles all these times.Like I feel that I could live my dreams through all these short and sharp stints.Even today I always feel the urge and depression of not becoming a doctor whenever I find any of my family members suffer. And more when I find the dearth and being kept waited for being attended by a doctor.

However I try myself not to get down by these stuffs, still circumstances do force me.Sometimes.Like when I was in the scenario with my other family members of being kept waited by the docs for the physiological death of my dear aunt(mom’s sister) after even knowing she has been taken out of artificial ventilation system after an officially announced brain death.

These are the times you do really dive deep within yourself. These are really the times when you think you could have made things better in your and in turn the ones’ surrounding your life by whatever you do or accomplish or plan to do in your very life.I do so.I feel the very urge to bury myself in my journals and give a quick peek into my life’s dearthnesses and other untouched vertigos.I don’t feel like contemplating though, but still,as I said earlier,it do really feels weird to be in such a situation.
